Client: Oil Nut Bay Location: Oil Nut Bay, Virgin Gorda Date: 2010 Area: 9,000 sq. ft. approx.
The Beach Club comprising of a grouping of several service buildings and a pool around an existing giant monolith, located centrally on the site. The pavilion -the crown of the boulder- was designed to poetically integrate the concepts of sustainable building, yet evoke an iconic status as a design that had not been seen before. The design ended up being both an engineering feature as well as pushing the boundaries of BIM software.
